About the Author

Juan Sepúlveda, Jr. is the author of The Life and Times of Willie Velásquez: Su Voto es Su Voz (Arte Público Press, 2003). Sepulveda graduated from Harvard College with a B.A. in Government; completed a combined degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics at The Queen's College, Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar; received his law degree from Stanford Law School; and has been admitted to the Texas Bar. Sepulveda, a San Antonian who grew up in Topeka, Kansas is the President and Co-founder of The Common Enterprise, a national management consulting group that developed from a major Rockefeller Foundation initiative. He lives in San Antonio, Texas with his wife, Teresa Nino, and their two children, Michael and Victoria.
