Overview

I'm a level 1 Trauma ER and flight registered nurse who went on to be schooled in and practice veterinary medicine. Kelly is my wife who is a trauma surgeon that went on to practice in the nearest trauma center when we moved to Tennessee. This is a continuation of the detailed explanations of the trauma patients we both have cared for and what we both experienced.
Included are some of the occurrences of our daily lives that ultimately affect our professional ones. At the end a tragedy occurs that's yet to play out. This one is a nail-biter because Kelly is critically injured, but will she make it out or will Paul have to go on with his family without his beloved wife. He has 4 children, but the question is will he be able to support them financially, because as a large animal vet he makes a sufficient income. Will he be able to support them and himself emotionally without a wife and mother. If she does survive, will she ever be able to function normally as a doctor and trauma surgeon again? It requires a high level of acuity to be a trauma surgeon and will she be able to maintain that level of functional capability or be too severely injured both physically and mentally from the injuries she suffered from the event that put her in the coma? How long will the coma last? What will the outcome be after the coma if she survives? She and some others sustained injuries, but some weren't as severe as Kelly's, but their were other casualties. Read this suspense filled novel to get all the answers. Its based on a real life, true story events. It's a detailed look into the lives of this family and those they interact with. At the turn of the next page, there is trauma, action, adventure, and reality that keeps your interest peaked to the last word of each book. What will happen next is the question you'll always be asking yourself. It's truly a real life thriller.

About the Author

He was a registered nurse for 17 years and as you will read on the first page of his books, he lost a daughter to SIDS and all his books are dedicated to her and her sister. He and his wife decided to move out of the Charleston, WV area where they lived. He mistakenly decided that he should join the Navy as a registered nurse and officer. Read NCIS Behind the Glory to find out how the Navy almost killed him and how. This becomes quite dramatic but is completely based on a true story. It has been labeled with 4 and one half stars on Barnes and Noble. Sadly he almost lost his life, but he was allowed to transfer to WV to get medical treatment. Since July 9, 2004 he hadn't received a paycheck from the Navy. His medical, dental, and other health coverage was cut off in March, 2008 in an attempt to discourage his pursuits of being medically discharged from the Navy.
He died August 31, 2015 of an acute and chronic seizure at the age of 40.
