About the Author

Dr. J. E. Williams is the author of The Andean Codex, numerous works on integrative medicine, and one book of poetry, Winter Rain. He has written about Earth-based wisdom and sustainable medicine in Shaman's Drum, Sacred Hoop, Herbal Gram, Body and Soul, and other new thought and integrative medicine journals. Since 1967, he has lived with and worked among indigenous tribes from the Arctic to the Amazon and Andes. His mission is to protect and preserve indigenous wisdom, culture, environment, and the intellectual rights of first peoples. He is the founder of AyniGLOBAL, a non-profit organization in Washington D.C. dedicated to principle-guided living, and personal and planetary change. He divides his time between the Gulf of Mexico, Washington D.C., and Peru.
