Overview

The beloved children's classic by Louisa May Alcott in a beautiful, understated paperback edition along with black and white illustrations. Avoid abridged versions that have cut out much text from the originals; this edition includes both Part I, originally published in 1868, and Part II, originally published in 1869. Little Women is the story of the four March sisters--Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy--and their passage from childhood to womanhood. It is semi-autobiographical, and met with much commercial success when published--for good reason! Readers today will continue to find elements of themselves in these "little women" and be able to draw life lessons of love, generosity, courage, humility, and more from the text.
