Overview

Live at the Kaleidoscope highlights Canned Heat while they were still in their prime in 1969 at the Kaleidoscope in L.A., featuring Bob Hite on vocals and Alan Wilson on guitar. Originally released under the title Live at Topanga Corral, which had been out of print for a number of years, featuring inspired cover versions of "Sweet Sixteen," "Dust My Broom," and "Wish You Would." While Live at the Kaleidoscope doesn't include the hits "On the Road Again" or "Going' Up the Country," it is a decent representation of the blues/rock boogie this band was known for. ~ Al Campbell
