Overview

Vic Damone gives of his best in this delightful set of live performances. His accompanying band sounds jazzier than the plush orchestrations of his studio releases. The lovely "The Song Is You," swings with an uncommon liveliness that Damone handles with clarity and amorous verve. Burt Bacharach's popular "The Look of Love" finds Damone's bravado passion hinting at torrid infatuation, contrasting with Dusty Springfield's hit version. His hushed whisper on "Can't Take My Eyes Off You," draws the listener gently into the heart of the song.
