About the Author

Marion Genger was an elementary school teacher and also a volunteer with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. She learned how important Helicopter Operations were. When she and her husband retired, they became full time RVers, and had the opportunity to see Fire-Fighting helicopters in action, near an RV Resort in Southern California, where brush fires were a relatively common occurrence, thus this story was born.
