John is a Senior Clinical Pathologist at Axiom Veterinary Laboratories Ltd, UK, having previously spent 15 years as a lecturer in Small Animal Medicine and Clinical Pathology at the University of Cambridge Veterinary School. He is a Diplomate of both the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Companion Animals) and the European College of Veterinary Clinical Pathology, and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists.

Description: This is a clinical cytology book with a strong emphasis on sample collection and images.
Purpose: The purpose is to assist veterinarians in clinical practice address basic needs in regards to cytology.
Audience: The book is directed at veterinarians in general practice and veterinary students. It also may be useful for anatomic and clinical pathology residents.
Features: Each chapter addresses a specific area of cytology, primarily divided by anatomic location or system. The many images are helpful to practicing veterinarians, but the quality of the images is not uniform.
Assessment: This is a nice book that will provide valuable information for veterinarians obtaining samples and performing in-house cytology.
