Description: This is the second edition of this useful book that covers the literature relating the association between cognition and medical illnesses. Written more as a guide to this literature than a book that is read from cover to cover, this is a valuable contribution to neuropsychology.
Purpose: The purpose, according to the editors, is to inspire a stronger emphasis on pathophysiology in graduate training programs in neuropsychology, as well as to accelerate the integration of clinical neuropsychology into the mainstream of health service delivery. The editors have succeeded in producing a readable and comprehensive literature review of this important area.
Audience: The intended audience is neuropsychologists working in medical settings. Primary care physicians, psychiatrists, neurologists, and neuropsychiatrists would also benefit from using this book.
