Mediterranean Mosaic
Nazi wealth. Fact or fiction?

Dan King uses the myth of Nazi wealth to trap an international art thief and bring him to justice.

André Dychmann financed the theft of an ancient mosaic from a Greek Orthodox church in Cypress. He thought he had waited long enough to sell them, but he was wrong.

Margaret Goldsworthy, purchased major portions of the mosaic and shipped them to the United States where the crime was uncovered. After a lengthy trial, she was ordered to return the works of art to their original owners. She has lost her money, her art and her reputation has been tarnished. Now, she wants revenge.

Goldsworthy hires Dan King to find Dychmann, bilk him out of the money she paid and return him to the Cypriot authorities to stand trial. INTERPOL’s file shows that Dychmann is an avid collector of historic Nazi artifacts. Dan uses this passion to set a trap by creating works of art that had never been seen before. Dychmann is so eager to get his hands on the treasure that he agrees to follow King and company to help move everything back to Turkey. What Dychmann does not know is that they are not going back to Turkey. At least that was the plan.

Follow Dan King and his three friends in this fast paced story of intrigue and adventure as they travel throughout Europe and set up a masterful sting in the Mediterranean.

The premis of the story is loosely based on the real theft of mosaics from a church in Cyprus. More information can be found on this historic event at www.dschneck.com.

About the Author

Don Schneck grew up in the military as the son of a career Air Force officer and pilot. By the time he went to college, he had lived at seven Air Force bases, including Incirlik Air Base in southern Turkey. His leisure-time interests reflect his vast exposure to all things Air Force. Most notably, Schneck is an avid modeler, specializing in World War II aircraft.

Schneck started his professional career in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He spent over 23 years working in communications technology before spending the next 20 years working with non-profit organizations.

Over the years Don has toured Europe, Africa and the Middle East as a lecturer on strategic and long-range planning. As an entrepreneur, Schneck has established and operated small businesses in six different fields.

In addition to working for non-profits, Schneck has considerable experience as a volunteer. Most notable were: a past chairman of the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival Grand Parade, board of directors and treasurer for the Palace Theatre Association (Canotn, Ohio), treasurer of the Great Trail Council for the Girl Scouts of America, and fund raising chairman of the Rotary Club of Canton, Ohio. In 2005, Schneck was one of the first volunteer business consultants to travel to Gulf Port, Mississippi, to assist in hurricane Katrina relief.

Having spent a large part of his career preparing technical briefs, annual reports and sales brochures, it was only natural that he continue writing. His adventure-fiction works use his modeling and military interests where ever possible.
