When an ancient god fears losing his eternal love, he fractures reality as a hedging strategy so that he can chase her in all facets of existence. In ancient Maya mythology, the sun god and the moon goddess are lovers, chasing each other across the heavens for an eternity, with the stars and planets watching. As they live their lives, sometimes they rise and fall together, and sometimes they are a bit further apart. Numerous stories about them have been passed down the ages by the Maya's rich oral history tradition, with much of their written history not having survived colonial contact. This is a modern-day story chronicling what their courtship might have looked like in the modern high-paced business world.
