A biobibliography of some 4000 entries listing the published works of mid-Victorian poets (1860-1879). Arranged alphabetically by author, each entry consists of brief biographical information, with bibliographical details of published works. Cross references are given from pseudonyms and other forms of names. The major interest of this biobibliography should be the discovery and listing of the very many minor poets unrecorded elsewhere.

This second volume in a projected three-volume biobibliography of Victorian poetry identifies 2,605 authors of poetry published in the UK, with several hundred more identified only by pseudonym or initials and still more unattributed works identified by title. Included are a few writers from abroad who settled in the UK and were familiar with the Victorian way of life, as well as some <'e>migr<'e>s and travelers. The autobiography is arranged in a single alphabetical sequence in author order, then title order of individual works, with anonymous works listed under title. Volumes with contributions by more than two poets are not included. Information provided for each entry includes biographical notes, drawn from standard biographical and reference works and publication details of their works, with a note on the library where the volume was found, where applicable.
