About the Author

Pam Van Allen is a retired psychologist living in Northern California. She enjoys writing rock fiction and music, especially Electric Light Orchestra. Her second novel is Five Legends, Five Guitars about how the Traveling Wilburys supergroup recorded their first album super-fast. Read her stories in the anthologies Flashpoint, Vortex, Gleam and Carrier Wave.

Must have companion to Eldorado
I am well into the book and it's a must have for any ELO fan. This is the perfect companion for the Eldorado album. This book brings additional imagery to each of the songs we've listened to for years. Great book and great fun.

I enjoyed the story of Horace and his struggle to abandon his boring life in exchange for true enlightenment. The author did a wonderful job with character development. I was impressed with the amount of research the author undertook to explain the many types of spiritualism without slowing down the story. Although I was aware this was based on an ELO album, it wasn't necessary to know the lyrics to follow this well-written story. Pam Van Allen is an author to follow.
