Martin Edwards writes the Rachel Savernake, Lake District, and Harry Devlin mysteries. The Life of Crime, a genre history, won four awards, including an Edgar. He has won the CWA Diamond Dagger, Dagger in the Library and the Golden Derringer for lifetime achievement in the field of short mystery fiction.

SJ Bennett is the author of the bestselling historical mystery series featuring Queen Elizabeth II as an investigator, which is published in 20 languages. As far as she knows, the late Queen did not secretly solve crimes. Probably.

J.C. Bernthal is the Edgar Award-nominated author and editor of several books about crime fiction, including Queering Agatha Christie and, with Mary Anna Evans, The Bloomsbury Handbook to Agatha Christie. He is a Visiting Fellow in Creative Writing at the Suffolk Centre for Culture and Heritage, University of Suffolk.

Chris Curran is the author of five psychological suspense novels published under her own name and one, The Guesthouse, as Abbie Frost. Her latest title is When the Lights Go Out. Judith Cutler, whose fiftieth novel is published next year, won the Critical Quarterly short story prize sixty years ago. Having taught English, Creative Writing and (at a primary school) cricket, she now helps a hedgehog to blog on Facebook’s Hedgehog Highways pages.

Dr. Luke Deckard has authored novellas, short stories and scripts for podcasts and comic books. He has a PhD in creative writing and currently hosts two podcasts: The Secret Circle and Pop-Culture Investigations.

Victoria Dowd is the award-winning author of the bestselling Smart Woman’s Mystery series. She’s been shortlisted for the CWA Dagger and her debut novel, The Smart Woman’s Guide to Murder, won the People’s Book Prize. Victoria was awarded the Gothic Fiction prize for her short fiction, which is published widely.

Paula Lennon was born in the West Midlands and currently resides in Jamaica, where the Caribbean Sea provides writing inspiration. She is author of the Detectives Preddy and Harris trilogy. Paula’s murder mystery story Sorry, Delivery won the Comedy Women in Print short story prize 2022/23.

G.M. Malliet’s first novel, Death of a Cosy Writer, won the Agatha Award for Best First Novel. She has since been shortlisted for Anthony, Macavity, Derringer, and LeA Coast Crime awards. She was a graduate student at the universities of Oxford (Sociology) and Cambridge (EducaEon). She now lives in the US.

William Burton McCormick is an Edgar-nominated writer of thriller novels and short stories set mainly in Eastern Europe. L.C. Tyler is a former CWA Chair, who has twice won the Goldsboro Last Laugh Award for comic crime novels and also a CWA Dagger. He writes two crimes series: one set in the seventeenth century and one with a narrator who has not moved on much since the 1950s.
