Overview

Mollie Chau's illustration medium is colour pencils. This is a collection of soft-tone artworks in which the author has imagined a fantasy quite distinct from the real world: an expression in forms, lines, shapes and abstractions. A picture can paint a thousand words; this is why the author loves art. It makes her feel happily centred and organized. Chau worships the sun, the moon and the clouds. Happy flowers, dolls, fish and houses are always her content. Anything that surrounds her can become a feature of her illustration.

About the Author

Mollie Chau is a local artist. She graduated from National Taiwan Normal University with BA in Arts in 1982. In 1985, she earned a diploma in Applied Arts from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. She works primarily in colour-pencil illustrations to create artworks with a soft-tone touch. www.molliechau.com
