About the Author

Rhonda Ford Butler was born in Michigan and raised in Los Angeles, California. She received a Bachelor's degree in Child Development. She has also received two teaching credentials: Multiple Subjects (elementary education) and a Specialist teaching credential to work with disabled students. She has taught pre-school, kindergarten, and students with developmental and physical disabilities for over 25 years where she got a lot of practice reading to children! Rhonda was also a mentor teacher. She worked in administration as an Area Coordinator for the Head Start Family Service Center. She enjoys spending time with her husband of 40 years, Hugh, her two adult children, and other family members. She enjoys writing children's books, traveling, reading, cooking and hosting parties!
Nicole Butler was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She received an Associates of Arts Degree in Fashion Merchandise Marketing from the Fashion Institute of Design Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles. Nicki was born to shop! She has worked for just about every retail store chain that there is. This fashionista is a stylist for family and friends, a dog whisperer, a movie buff, she enjoys shopping, traveling, reading and writing!
Zuri Scott was born in New York and raised in Atlanta, GA. She received her BFA from the Cooper Union's School of Art. While she maintains a practice of illustrating within various genres, she has a passion for many forms of artmaking, including painting and time-based media production.
