About the Author

Edouard Glissant is Distinguished Professor of French at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. He is regularly honored for his profound and original representations of the people of the Caribbean. J. Michael Dash, a widely recognized expert on Glissant's work, is professor of French at New York University.
