Overview

Moomoo and Booboo is a story about two extraordinary ruru (New Zealand owls). The book employs psychological and educational skills to help a a little girl (Aoife) who is having trouble sleeping. Those psychological skills are woven into the charming story of how Moomoo and Booboo, visit the magical tree. There, they are transformed, from their brownish colours into extraordinary glowing colours. Then, loaded with magical colours, in their flax kits, they visit the little girl. As she is struggling to sleep, they proceed to paint magical colours on her head. These, bring her peace, calm, and silence, which enables her to sleep soundly through the night.
