About the Author

Quentel D. Smith is an survivor of domestic violence, author, and a motivational speaker who helps millennial's stand, endure, and thrive in the face of adversity. His journey first began when he was delivered through an emergency C-section as a result of his father slamming his mother through a glass table. His low birth weight of two pounds, one ounce forced him to remain in the hospital for three months before being medically cleared to go home.

At a very young age, he witnessed his mother become a victim of domestic violence at the hands of his father. In many of his adolescent years, he suffered from low self-esteem and contemplated suicide. After helping his mom leave her abusive relationship, Quentel has now dedicated himself to help other break-free from their abusive spouses. Mr. Smith is a graduate of Franklin Military Academy where he ranked among the top 10 percent of his class. Also, Mr. Smith holds an Associate in Social Science from
J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College.
