Purpose: The purpose is to describe different manufacturing technologies for multiparticulates to develop a final oral dosage form by considering their in vivo and in vitro behavior. The book also aims to asses the marketing position of multiparticulates relative to other oral dosage forms. The objectives are worthy because they meet the need for updated information on multiparticulates, which is a relatively modern oral drug delivery system.
Audience: The book is intended for scientists engaged in pharmaceutical research and development of an oral drug delivery system, especially in an industrial setting. It can also be useful as a textbook for specialized graduate courses in pharmaceutics, bioengineering, or chemical engineering.
Features: The book includes numerous figures and tables that are not evenly distributed through out the book. The book is composed of 16 chapters, some of which are short with very few references.
