About the Author

Tierra L. McCline-Jones grew up in Cleveland, MS, where she spent 14 years engaged with family and friends in church, sports, and traveling. She later moved to Memphis, TN, where she graduated from Wooddale High School and continued her education at Northwest Community College. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Austin Peay State University.

Through her love for children and learning, she has worked for over nine years in early childhood and elementary education. She currently serves as a teacher at a local charter school, where she has found purpose and passion in her work. Her contribution to education has led to the successful launch of the activities program at the school, including the cheerleading team coached by Tierra herself.

The most rewarding part of her career is teaching children to love learning as much as she does. She helps scholars achieve what they thought was impossible to achieve. The self-publishing of her first book, "My Black is Golden," is inspired by the beautiful, strong, and determined children she educates daily.

Tierra's life mission is to inspire children through her writing to know that anything in this world is possible. She has dedicated the writing of interactive children's books to fulfilling this mission.
