About the Author

Paula Moyer Savaiano grew up in the small college town of Maryville, Missouri, centered in America's heartland. She graduated with an MS degree in elementary education from Northwest Missouri State University in 1973. She married that same year and began teaching kindergarten in Maitland, MO. After the first year of teaching, she became a stay at home Mom raising three beautiful daughters. When they were all in school, she began teaching again. She was the Director of St. Paul's Preschool in Davenport, IA, and returned to school to obtain an Early Childhood endorsement from St. Ambrose University. Her husband's career took her from the midwest to the East coast, to the West coast and finally back to the midwest again. She taught preschool/kdg. for 15 yrs. before retiring in Iowa. Grandchildren are truly a blessing, and Paula is proud to have eight of them.
