What most people first notice about African-Americans is their beautiful and curly hair. Their natural hair is stunning, and they should always be able to wear it with pride. However, history was not kind to them, so they often had to hide their natural curls.

First of all, I must emphasize that this book is a real little gem. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I appreciate how the author addresses the young readers of this book as supergirls.
