Overview

Growing up in Ghana, Abigail faced an untimely separation from her mother, Emma, as ordered by her maternal grandmother. Her father, Jarie, nurtured his daughter with support from his family and loved ones. After more than three decades, Abigail closes her eyes to hear the sound of her mother's voice for the first time since adulthood. It rings through the telephone like rhythmic music, taking her back to her early childhood. Mother and daughter tearfully forgive the past, form a strong bond, and come full circle. One year after Abigail celebrates her voice reunion with her mother, her life takes another jubilant turn! Destiny draws her parents to meet unprecedentedly, and they take a daring adventure down memory lane. Jarie and Emma rekindle their love for each other, and It grows and blossoms into a beautiful romantic relationship until another separation occurs. My Mom's Incredible Voice is a story of a Ghanaian family who lived a miracle of love as true as the sun's warmth. Together forever, still cherishing the memories of yesterday, today, and always.

About the Author

Abigail Ekua Dominguez was born and raised in the sunny and friendly nation of Ghana, West Africa. She moved to the United States from London two decades ago, settling in Philadelphia, PA. She worked as a nanny to several families for twelve years and branched into teaching in early education. Abigail continues to facilitate young children's learning as a Head Start teacher with a program in Mesa. Her mother delivered her in a footling breech position as a baby, and she is convinced it has everything to do with her inner drive for traveling and culture appreciation. Abigail endured many challenges as a child, and she believes children deserve to be seen with eyes of compassion by everyone. Her first book, Heart-to-Heart with Abagaba - A Nanny Teacher Reflection, gives a delightful insight into honoring children she once helped nurture and teach. Her second book, "My Mom's Incredible Voice" recounts the story of reuniting with her mother after three decades of separation. She dreams of someday becoming a natural or adoptive mother to an infant child. Abigail lives in Arizona, is a wife, and considers herself blessed to have three bonus children. She continues her education by working online on a Marriage and Family Studies degree at Brigham Young University, Idaho. Abigail enjoys going on bike rides, hiking the great outdoors, and spending time with her family, friends, and dog, Lucky!
