Born in a Mexican convent for unwed mothers, unadoptable Lorenza was given to a research facility for a failed five-year study to try and find a cure for her inherited condition, hypertrichosis, commonly called Werewolf Syndrome. At age 5, she was placed with a family that agreed to take her in, but had ulterior motives for doing so. Not finding the financial relief they had expected from offering Lorenza for sale, a traveling circus agreed to purchase her for a paltry sum.
