CHAPTER 1

Hi, my name is Lizie. I have a special family that I want to tell you all about. My family is special because we are different from other families you may know.

In your family, you may have a mother, father, sisters and brothers that live together in the same house. But in my family, things are a little different. I have two of everything.

I have two dads, two moms and I live at two different houses. In case you are wondering, how can that be? Let me tell you how we became this special family.

When I was a baby as cute as could be, my mom and dad changed everything for me. It wasn't my fault, they made sure to tell me that, but apart they must live and that was a fact.

So my mom and my dad got two separate homes, but though they were separate, I was never alone. I wasn't very happy; In fact I was really really mad! I live with my mom and sometimes visit my dad.

At first it was hard and tough as can be. I wanted to live with both of them together, but that could not be. But as I grew older I quickly realize how fun that could be and felt happy inside. I have two of everything and there is only one of me. I am so special and need not be sad because now I've got two moms and two dads.

At my dad's house, I have a new mom. Her name is Sarah; she is nice as can be. She likes to make funny faces and play hide and go seek. She takes me to the park and sometimes put me to sleep. We love to go places and have lots of fun. My best time with her is watching television.

At my Mom's house, there is a new dad. His name is Billy and boy is he a dad. We play baseball and go bowling sometimes. He reads me bed time stories and showed me how to throw a fishing line. He is so much fun, just come to my house, you'll see! We play pranks on my mom and laugh when she screams.

So at first I was sad, but now it's not such a big deal, because I get to do things that some children only dream. Now I have two birthday parties; Boy am I glad! I get to go on vacation twice, so rarely am I sad
