After Larry Stroaks and his wife Amy try unsuccessfully for years to conceive a baby, it is finally time for them to accept that a traditional, biological birth may not be their path. Deciding to opt for surrogacy, the couple enlists the help of Kim to carry their baby to term.
When Amy unexpectedly passes during the pregnancy, Larry is crippled with grief and struggles to cope with the void in his life the prospect of raising their child alone. As he deals with his loss, he continues to support Kim and ensure that Amy's greatest wish-a child of their own- is fulfilled.
As their journey towards the birth progresses. Kim finds herself increasingly drawn to Larry, who is still grieving. As they navigate an unconventional relationship, both Kim and Larry will have to decide what they each want and how to help each other get to where they want to be, then the relationship took an unexpected turn for the worst.
