About the Author

Dorothy Shorne has had a varied career. She built modular houses in Central Australia on remote aboriginal settlement, opened various businesses, and was involved in the development of Sydney Airport when it was operated by the Federal Airports Corporation.
She was a marriage celebrant for 24 years, and has married couples in different locations, ranging from private gardens, to beaches, to caves, or rural locations. Many of her clients remain friends to this day. She usually writes with Iris, a black and white cat at her elbow, demanding her share of attention. Writing is fuelled with regular coffee boosts, and occasional squares of very dark chocolate.

Under the name of Emily Hussey, she is a published romance writer, and loves the short story format in a range of genres. Dorothy now resides on the coast in the city of Adelaide, and is exploring the writing options in every café in walking distance.
