About the Author

David M. Salkin is the author of seven published novels including Crescent Fire, which won a bronze medal in the Stars and Flags Book Awards in 2007. His novel The Team was awarded a gold medal in 2013 in the same contest. Salkin serves as the Deputy Mayor and Police Commissioner of Freehold Township, N.J., and co-owns a jewelry store with his brother. He is a Master Graduate Gemologist, and this background led to the writing of his novel, Hard Carbon, a thriller about synthetic diamonds.
