About the Author

A native of Michigan City, Indiana, Mary Ann grew up in a large family where her mom and dad, first generation Christians, brought the family up in church. It was at the age of 12 that her pastor/dad put her in front of a student Sunday School class as the teacher. It was there that she began to develop a love for studying and sharing the Scriptures. Because Mary Ann is proficient in opening and explaining Scripture, she is a sought after Bible teacher and has spoken in several venues. Teaching fits perfectly with her passion for helping others. She also finds opportunities to serve her church, Mount Hope Church, Lansing, Michigan, through the Global Prayer Center, where she volunteers her time, and is often a member of Prayer Task Forces throughout the year.
Mary Ann earned an Associate Degree in Industrial Management from Lansing Community College in Lansing, Michigan, as well as a Bachelor Of Science Degree in Business Administration from Northwood University in Midland, Michigan. Mary Ann earned certification as Certified Quality Engineer from the American Society of Quality Control.
She is also a graduate of Mount Hope Church Bible Training Institute of Lansing, Michigan, holding a certification in Practical Pastoral Ministry.
During her 31 years at General Motors, Mary Ann had the opportunity to travel extensively across the US, Canada, and parts of western Europe supporting GM’s efforts to provide quality vehicles for its customers.
Mary Ann and her husband, Gene, live in Lansing, Michigan. Their four children are Eugenia (deceased), Angela, Kevin, and Rochelle. They also have seven wonderful grandchildren.
