About the Author

George Reavey was born in Russia, though he was an Irish surrealist poet, translator and art collector. He was also the firt publisher to bring out a translation of the French poet Paul Eluard. He was also interested in Russian poetry and this book is a collection of the poets he thought merited being included in this anthology and remembered into posterity.
