About the Author

Emma Umana Clasberry is the founder of African Peoples Institute, a Chicago-based non-profit agency purposed to promote cultural awareness among youth through the arts and the author of African Culture Through Proverbs. She has been an Invited Panelist discussing “Cultural Barriers to Learning from Immigrant Perspective”, Department of Early Childhood Education, Consumnes River College, California, and a Subject of Biographical Record in Who’s Who of American Women, Twenty-First Edition, for Significant Contribution to the Betterment of Contemporary Society. Emma earned a B.A in Political Science and an M.A. in Urban Planning&Policy from University of Illinois at Chicago, and a Doctor of Education degree from California Coast University.
