Overview

A powerful necromancer.
An unexpected ally.
The wild, wild west has never smelled so . . . um . . . sweet?

When Abby Crumb finally meets up with her mother, her situation goes from disturbingly violent to utterly rotten. Stuck in a mining camp in the middle of nowhere with a family tree that keeps sprouting unexpected branches, Abby sinks deeper and deeper into the bottomless muck of her mother's treachery. Now Abby must finally confront her dark past before that dark past devours them all.

At least there are no clockwork dragons or angry sorcerers to face. That should make life a bit simpler.

Shouldn't it?

About the Author

Growing up in the wilds of the Sierra Nevada mountains, surrounded by deer and beaver, muskrat and bear, Louisa Swann found ample fodder for her equally wild imagination. As an adult, she spins both experiences and imagination into tales that span multiple genres, including fantasy, science fiction, historical fiction, mystery, and her newest love—steampunk. Her short stories have appeared in numerous Fiction River anthologies, including Reader’s Choice; Mercedes Lackey’s Elementary Magic and Valdemar anthologies; and Esther Friesner’s Chicks and Balances. She is currently working on two new steampunk/weird west series, Abby Crumb and Myrtle Creek (with Brandon Swann). Find out more at www.louisaswann.com.
