No Color in Friendship
Best friends are hard to find, harder to leave, and impossible to forget. For shy and often misunderstood Sasha, the idea of having true friends seemed impossible. Wherever she went, she was scared of being looked down on because her darker skin made her different from everyone else. But that all changed the day she met Khloe and Carly. Together Khole and Carly taught Sasha that true friendship has no boundaries, is unconditional, and lasts a lifetime. No Color in Friendship is a touching children's book based on the true-life friendship of author, Chasity Collins. This book is dedicated to all young girls struggling to understand where they fit in, if they are loved, and what lasting friendships genuinely mean. No Color in Friendship will be an instant, endearing classic as it teaches young girls everywhere that friendship, like true beauty, is defined by what is on the inside.

About the Author

Chasity Collins started writing poetry during her adolescent years. In Mrs. Vaughn's English class at Charles Henderson Middle School (Troy, Alabama),Chasity began to develop her creative writing skills. Her love of poetry blossomed and expanded into her first children's book, "No Color in Friendship", self-published in May 2020. With passions including writing poetry and children's books, Ms. Collins has dedicated her writing to positively impacting the lives of children. She seeks to mold the minds of young girls with messages promoting high self-esteem, friendship, loving oneself completely, and personal empowerment with her books. Her inspiration for writing comes from life experiences and the lessons learned along the way. As a literary creative artist, Chasity firmly believes in blessing others with her God-given talents. Ms. Collins' literary inspiration is Dr. Maya Angelou. She is profoundly inspired by her beloved mother, Angie. Chasity describes her mother as "both courageous and driven to never let obstacles stop her from reaching goals". Following in her mother's footsteps, she actively engages in community outreach to uplift the community. Chasity Collins exemplifies the importance of diverse voices in literature. This foray into the world of books represents her untapped potential for literary success. Ms. Collins is currently working on future projects.
