About the Author

No Longer a Bridesmaid is a memoir that chronicles the seven years that Terry Cato was single and preparing herself to be a wife and mother. When she came of age and decided that she wanted to be married, she soon realized that she did not have any positive examples of what a successful marriage looked liked – everyone close to her had experienced divorce. One of her cousins gave her a book that encouraged singles to begin preparing themselves for marriage while they are single. Thus, Terry began her journey of preparation, healing, and deliverance.

Terry Cato is an entrepreneur and community volunteer. She is married to Lloyd. They have two daughters and one son and reside in the San Francisco Bay Area. An avid reader, for as long as she can remember, she has always had a love for reading and writing. She wrote sentences in her coloring books before she would color the pages in grade school and began writing song and rap lyrics as an adolescent. She has written poems, essays, and song lyrics. Terry attended the University of Southern Mississippi and obtained her undergraduate degree in marketing and a master’s degree in sports administration from the United States Sports Academy. She has worked in the professional sports and non-profit industries.
