No Safe Place
For most of her life, Christa Hernandez had no safe place to call home. Brutally abused, sexually molested, and constantly hopping from house to house as her life turned inside out over and over again, Christa grew up without knowing the meaning of home or of unconditional love. She struggled with her faith, struggled with her self-worth, and literally ended up at a train station with her life in garbage bags.

That horrific childhood turned her into a prime candidate for predators in the sex trafficking industry. Christa's account of escaping that nightmare, finding herself, and restoring her relationship with God, is compelling and unforgettable.

At its core, Christa's honest portrayal of her victory over her past is a story of strength and hope. Readers from all walks of life will draw inspiration from her amazing journey.

About the Author

Christa Hernandez is the founder
and executive director of Loving You
Where You Are At. Her organization
was founded in October, 2012 after
attending training with Strip Church
and years of envisioning a survivor-led
outreach to women in the commercial
sex industry. She is a survivor of
almost twenty years of childhood
sexual abuse, sex trafficking and work in the commercial
sex industry. Loving You Where You Are At currently
visits 12 strip clubs across the Tampa Bay area every
month, bringing them the reminding message that they
are Loved, Valued, and Purposed. She is passionate about
making known the issues surrounding sex trafficking,
sexual exploitation and sexual abuse as well as sharing
the hope she found in Jesus to overcome.
In 2016, she received a Human Trafficking proclamation
from the Pinellas County Board of Commissioners for the
work she does. She is also a public speaker, sharing her
story and awareness on sex trafficking.
