Overview

The American electoral process intersects with Native land rights and environmental concerns as the multigenerational saga of the Hanlon family races towards an uncertain future.

Billionaire populist presidential hopeful Billy Joe Northrop and good ol' boy political strategist Bull O'Connor have a plan to take the White House by storm through a web of deceit and backroom deals. While dating Northrop's daughter Harriet, newly minted Atlanta reporter Fred Scully stumbles upon the story of a lifetime -- one that he may not live to tell.

On the run and simultaneously searching for his big scoop, Scully finds himself tracing a twisted path to the pristine wilderness of the Chilcotin region of British Columbia. Once there, he searches for Noah Hanlon, thinking this Indigenous elder may hold the key to the future of two nations, only to find a broken man.

The region may change forever -- as will history -- if Noah can't overcome personal tragedy to fight for the land he loves.
