Matt S. Meier was professor emeritus of history at the University of Santa Clara and the author of A Bibliography for Chicano History and The Mexican American Experience.

Alma M. García, PhD, is professor of sociology and the director of the Latin American Studies program at Santa Clara University, Santa Clara, CA.
