Overview

A standout on the electronic underground circuit, Neil Campbell has been releasing cryptic CDR-only releases of dense, sample-based electronica since the mid '00s. His official debut, a self-titled effort that compiled some of the best material from his limited edition releases, was a minor breakthrough that won him comparisons to techno legends like Aphex Twin as well as contemporaries like Muslimgauze. OCTUPLEX, which features contributions from avant-garde guitarist Richard Youngs and former Pogues member Spider Stacy, is an even more ambitious effort.
