About the Author

Eric Nicol, born in Kingston, Ontario, as an aftermath of the First World War, is the only Canadian to have combined two great feats: earning three Leacock medals for humour and a criminal record for contempt of court -- one of the many establishments he has lampooned. he now approaches his gay nineties with a straight face.

Eric Nicol, one of Canada's best-known satirical writers, is the author of more than 35 books and has won the Stephen Leacock Memorial Medal for Humour three times. He lives in Vancouver and describes himself as "pretty well retired from everything but breathing."
