Overview

Original Album Classics bundles the first five albums from Cyndi Lauper, all of which were released on the Epic label: the several-times-platinum She's So Unusual (1983), the double-platinum True Colors (1986), A Night to Remember (1989), Hat Full of Stars (1993), and Sisters of Avalon (1996). The set consists of the five albums -- as they were originally released, in standard jewel cases -- within a basic cardboard sleeve. While the later albums are uneven, Lauper was one of the more underrated vocalists of the era, and the set initially retailed for slightly less than the cost of two full-price CDs. ~ Andy Kellman
