Overview

The Rascals' blend of blue-eyed soul, British Invasion pop, and garage band R&B made them one of the more interesting American rock groups of the 1960s. This set, which includes the band's first five original LPs, 1966's The Young Rascals, 1967's Collections and Groovin', 1968's Once Upon a Dream, and 1969's Freedom Suite, shows the band's rapid growth and expansion into psychedelic rock, urban soul, and other areas, even incorporating gospel, jazz, and Latin elements into the mix.
