Patrick never was. That's why he writes. Granted, most of what he writes is filled with insanity, but that's a good thing.

Growing up in Iowa was tough. The suburb he grew up in was surrounded by corn. Corn everywhere. You can't walk ten feet outside of the city without running into corn, or falling into the Mississippi.
