It is a first hand account of what happened when a small team of missionaries went to a remote mountainious region of Ethiopia to teach community development and the Bible. It coincided with a communist revolution and the chain of events was no less dramatic than what the early Christians in the Bible faced.

About the Author

Ray and Lauralee were born and educated in California where they graduated from the Univ. of Redlands and attended Golden Gate Seminary. Both have Masters degrees and teaching experience. They served with the Southern Baptist Foreign Mission Board in several African countries, including Ethiopia, for 18 years. They returned to the U.S. for 20 years and built a business called Kingdom Homes. In 2003 they returned as retired volunteers to Ethiopia as Envoys of the Baptist General Convention of Texas. Since that time they have helped encourage and support the Addis Kidan Baptist Church denomination that is a product of Baptist mission work there. There are now 17,000 believers in 87 churches and 29 preaching points throughout the country.
