Also known as the Assiniboine, The Chiefs of the Nakoda Nation—Cuwiknaga Je Eyaku (Man Who Takes The Coat), Teepee Hoksa (Long Lodge), and Wica Hostake (Lean Man)—signed adhesion to Treaty 4 at Fort Walsh on September 25, 1877.
