About the Author


Hiroshi Hayakawa was born and raised in Japan. He moved to the United States to attend the Columbus College of Art and Design in Ohio, where he earned BFAs in Photography and Fine Arts.  Hiroshio went on to receive his MFA in Photography from the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Michigan. He now teaches drawing and photography at the Columbus College of Art and Design. His books include Kirigami Menagerie and Paper Pups (both Lark). Hiroshi lives in Columbus, OH, where he works professionally with photography and sculpture.
