Overview

Not far from the famed Basilica de la Sagrada Familia in Barcelona is Park Güell, located in La Salut neighborhood within the Gràcia district. The park is 42 acres in size, about 5% of New York's Central Park, but the park features some spectacular elements. In this image, you can see the colorful mosaic of the serpentine bench that lines the main terrace. In 1906, legendary architect, Antoni Gaudi, bought the park at Count Eusebi Güell's suggestion, where Gaudi lived until his death in 1926. The park contains several original works by Gaudi including the mosaic bench. Visible are Laie Parc Güell, the bookstore, and Casa del Guarda, the gatehouse designed by Gaudi. Off in the distance, on the left side of this image, you can see the spires of La Basilica de la Sagrada Familia, Gaudi's most famous work. This puzzle has a lot of nice elements including the top of the mosaic bench, the two buildings so half of the image has straightforward elements like buildings and trees. The challenge will be in the sky. There are clouds so there is some help with piece placement but there will need to be some trial and error "muscling" to get the pieces of the sky place. As this interesting image comes together, you'll see more and more detail of one of the most unique cities in the world.
