Tim A. Osswald is Kuo and Cindy F. Wang Professor at the Universityof Wisconsin-Madison College of Engineering and Honorary Professor of Plastics Technology at the Universityof Erlangen-Nuremberg and the National Universityof Colombia. He is author of many books and book chapters, as well as over 100 papers in the field of plastics technology.

Dr.-Ing. Erwin Baur is Managing Director of M-Base Engineering + Software, a leading international supplier of material databases, material information systems, product information systems, and material related simulation software that he cofounded in 1993. He was previously Managing Director of Polydata GmbH in Aachen, Germany and Dublin, Ireland.
