About the Author

Simon Harrap is the author of Orchids of Britain and Ireland: A Field and Site Guide (Bloomsbury 2005, 2009). He is the author of several books including Harrap's Wild Flowers (2013), RSPB Pocket Guide to British Birds (2007, 20012) and Where to Watch Britain and Ireland (2003, 2010), all published by Bloomsbury.
Simon Harrap is a professional writer, photographer and tour leader, based in Norfolk. He leads birdwatching tours throughout the world, and botanical and nature trips in Norfolk. His previous books include Orchids of Britain and Ireland, Flowers of the Norfolk Coast, Flowers of the Norfolk Broads (all of which are illustrated with his own photographs), as well as RSPB Pocket Guide to British Birds and Where to Watch Birds in Britain.
