Gr 3–5—The U.S. voting and electoral system is covered here in accessible terms. Topics covered include who can vote, why we should vote, what is the electoral college, how a person becomes a candidate, and requirements to be either a candidate or a voter. By necessity there is plenty of overlap among the titles in the information provided. The text is displayed on pages with a blue, white, and red background with a scattering of stars. The photographs include candidates of different parties, genders, and ethnicities. The translation is generally readable; however, at times, the sentences are so awkwardly worded they are difficult to understand. VERDICT A suitable, though not perfect, addition for school or public libraries.
